Baby and Toddler Photo Session: Tips to make it easier.

Parents, I know that photographing your kids can be challenging, even more challenging when there’s a stranger telling them what to do.  Either there’s too much energy on their side or they just don’t want to cooperate and won’t allow the camera to capture those magical gestures and personalities.

But hey, It’s not that bad!

Believe me, you’re not alone! We have enough experience to channel all that energy and situation going on into beautiful candid photos. So don’t worry if your baby or toddler won't make it easy for your photographer, the key to beautiful pictures is to know how to identify those perfect moments and snap the photo!

To help avoid this situation, here are some useful tips for your photo session.

  1. Make sure to schedule your session at an appropriate time for them. Don’t try to do it either too early or too late, this might irritate the kids.

  2. Take with you some of their favorite toys, it will help to grab their attention and even make some beautiful candid pictures.

  3. Rested kids are indispensable.  A good nap with a couple of hours before the session is idea;. They’ll not be tired at all and the session will last longer.

  4. Parents, when your photographer is doing the shoot, please don’t try to make your kids turn their way to the camera, eventually they will.  If you spend your time doing that, the kids will be looking but you will be doing the contrary, so just enjoy the moment and let the moment flow naturally.  Your photographer will take care of everything.
